Rob,
Mine is a 1967 and has a Wisconsin air cooled V-4 in it. The whole thing is hydro, the motor is turning a big pump and everything uses hydro motors to run. They take a jeep transfer case and bolt a hydro right to it. Top speed is 9mph. Alot of smaller motors to turn the augers and two huge cyl. for the dump tank. The thing holds 185 gal. of water and weights in about 8500# when full.
The V-4 engine explains the rather unique sound they make.
I'm supposed to skate tonight, but it's snowing. Sometimes we'll play with a tennis ball in the snow but it's just not the same. Besides, I've got something of a cold I'd like to shake off.
Thanks for asking that question, Rob... since I wouldn't even know which end of a hockey stick to hold, I had no idea what that might be /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif... was about to post a question to Von for the whole world to see /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif.
Von, that looks great!
One thing about these sig files - makes scrolling through a particularly long posting a whole lot easier /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.
