You guys sure are getting hammered hard this year. I thought Jeanne was all done, then I hear she looped around and is heading for FL. I also thought Ivan was donw, then I hear he is back in the Gulf. What's the deal with Karl? Have heard much about that one. Good luck to you all in FL!

Looks like I will be getting more rain from it early to mid next week. Dang! haying time too.

I feel bad for you guys again,.. Wife and I had our flight cancelled, the one for 10 am this morning.,. I called Delta late last night, and got the only tow seats available at 4 this morning out of Lauderdale.. Closed up the condo lock solid and dee' dee'd on out of there.. Lauderdale had the busiest Saturday morning ever,,, Every single seat in that 767 or what ever it was called (8 seats across),,were filled, no empties,.,., I hope the best for all of you down there,, I am again home and safe, although we immensly enjoyed Florida these last two weeks,., Best to all that live there..

I was in town today finishing up some work erands.. About every gas station I passed on US 441 had closed gas stations...( no gas)

Sure is something this year in Florida. My daughter is in W. Palm Beach and was still waiting on the clean up crews to get stuff off the street from Francis. The city made a big push this last week to help minimize the amount of projectiles stacked on the curb but there were still plenty around. They didn’t even have the hurricane shutters down yet and now think they may just paint them and leave them up until X-mas.

My sister is from Pensacola and has been at our place for the last week and a half hiding from the damage Ivan did. Still no power, gas, phone, water or sewer at her house but at least she has a house. The people in her area are living on MRE’s handed out by the Red Cross.

Don, the NBC network news was just broadcasting from your home town of Port St. Lucie and nothing looked good. Lots of debris scattered behind the newscaster and everywhere the cameras panned. It looked like a lot of aluminum siding had been ripped of of buildings.

I hope all is well.

We vacation a couple times a year on the barrier islands of Florida and will be down there again over Thanksgiving (I'm hoping the hurricanes are gone by then).
