Conrats on the new addition to your family. I'm with Henro on the 54" MMM. Glad to hear that you up'ed it to the 60". You will NOT regret it for a second. I know everyone talks about how the larger decks are better in corners, which is true. But, it you mow your lawn in "laps" like I do, then that's 1 ft more per "lap" than with the 54" deck. (down and back that is) That's 10ft more grass mowed every 10 laps. It does add up. I considered the 54" for my B7610 because of getting in between obstacles. Well, I took a little time (and help from the FEL) and moved the obstacles in question. Now there is no problem. Good luck with your new toy.

Took delivery of the BX23 tonight. The dealer said he'd be at the abode between 6 & 6:30 and he beat me there before 6! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Since I decided to go with the 60" MMM this AM, they had to order it from GA so perhaps I'll get it before the end of the week. Don't need it now anywho.

The footprint isn't as bad as I thought it would be so theres plenty of room for it in it's new digs. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A few pics of the BX23 in it's new home, the venerable shop!

I wish you people would quit posting pictures of backhoes /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Makes those of us without backhoes envious!

Great looking machine and just the right shade of orange.

Now go out there and get it muddy.

That sure is a pretty tractor. I got my new TC33D a couple weeks ago, got it muddy dirty the 2nd day and washed it. I have since washed it 2 more times and the last time I also waxed it, put it in the garage and aim to keep it clean until the first of the year. Hey, thats only 2 more weeks!

( Question, do 22 & 23 owners dismount the BH & FELS frequently to mow? )

The BH is only on my machine when it's actually in use, either for digging or as ballast when I'm moving snow in the winter. The FEL comes off in about two minutes or less and is never on my machine when mowing, both for safety/balance reasons on slopes and because it just plain gets in the way.

BTW, you should find no need for the turfs; the wide bar tires are very forgiving on all but the wettest areas (which I would never try to mow, anyway) and I don't get any scuffing. I don't miss the turfs that I had on my BX2200 even a minute amount!

'Glad you switched on the MMM...the 60" is the way to go and you can get closer with it! I have almost zero trimming with the weed-whacker and mow around many trees on our property.

Congtatulations, thats a fine looking machine. You won't regret upping the mower deck to 60" as others have said. You've made some wise choices here now get out and enjoy yourself.
