I think my story should go under listen to your elders...
My son in law calls up, having problems on my way home with the car. Stuck in 4th gear and can't shift, handle is loose. Tell him to park it and I'll take car of it (broken linkage pin). He calls 30 minutes later, tells me he's having it towed to my place. Figured good, he just got tired of waiting. Get home and the car is there, pull off the shift cover and put a new cotter in problem fixed... so I thought. The reason he had it towed was he figured the trans was going out so he'd just drive it over in rush hour traffic... the photo is of his clutch. So, a free part I always have on hand or $600 in parts I'd have to order. Dumb ***.

An aquaintence (sp?) had his pickup dragged to the garage and said "the fuel pump's gone."
You don't argue with Harry' so they did what they were told. On a pickup it's often easier to lift the bed than it is to drain and drop the tank. After replacing the fuel pump, they then added enough gas to the empty tank so that it would run.


I told that story to stay on topic, now an aside.
You list a '69 Mustang in your profile... it would be great if you would post a pic in the thread on the "Front Porch" titled "My Classic Car."

I'll take some pictures of the Mach 1 and post them. My dad bought it for me in 1987, when I was 15.
