What is the purpose or function of the horizonal tubes on each side in the lower front of this tiller???

I think we'll have to wait to find out. I honestly haven't a clue. Looks like the hot and cold plumbing under my kitchen sink... but that doesn't make any sense!!!

Man those are obvious they are safety guards to keep you from getting in the rotating tynes when you are stupid enough to get that close to a running tiller. Just another attempt to fix stupid.

Maybe shipping bars for when in the crate. Keep it from rattling around. If it was a guard it would go across the entire front I would think. But then again I'm usually wrong 90% of the time. Or so the wife tells me.

I guess I'm voting for either flimsy handles (to help position it to insert the lower 3-pt pins???) or some sort of safety-related sensor that could be connected to a PTO kill switch relay???

Actually the bars wouldn't need to go all the way across to protect your feet. The lift arms prevent you from going any further and the spinning pto prevents you from getting your feet torn up by removing your leg at the kneecap. Just think like an idiot and it will make perfect sense.

How about going the easy route, pick up the phone and call the manufacturer/or US distributor and ask them what they are for? Life is too short to be guessing

Can't go all the way across because the PTO shaft would hit it.
Boy, that one is going to be a pain to hook up if your arms aren't long.
