I bought this Simplicity a couple months ago and decided to build a loader for it. I first built a subframe that bolts to existing mounting holes. I then built up the posts to bolt to subframe then reworked some arms from another home built loader and added the brackets for lift cylinders. As of this evening I raised the arms with a chain hoist and will nearily clear a 8ft ladder. Several pic's show my progress.

That is a pretty good size simplicity. Should work with the loader very well. Couldn't follow the rear metal work. Is that going to be part of the sub frame ? How many hp. ?

Do you know the model of Simplicity? Years ago the "ancestors" of my current company actually built loader for Simplicity tractors...

rback, It's a powermax 4040.
Joe, it's 18hp and non of the subframe is visible from the rear. What is there is a 3ph receiver hitch. If you look on the left you can see a second receiver behind that tire and it is reversable to the right side.

Nice job. Should be able to pile stuff up pretty high.
Good luck with the rest of the project. What size bucket are you going to fabricate?

This evening I cleaned up the other arm and got the upper curl cylinder brackets spot welded and stabilizer plate welded. I ran out of oxy before I got to cutting 1/2" plate for quick connects.

All this and no money spent for materials yet.

rbutterfield, I'll probably use a 44" bucket I already have at first until I acquire more plate.

Got the curl cylinders working as they had QC's that fit the tractor. I tacked on the old bucket I have. The pic's show the range of motion.

Make sure you put a stopper on the back of the loadeer arms if your cylinders are max out when dumping.
The bump stop will allow the bucket to hit instead of bottoming out the cylinder.
If the cylinder is allowed to go the full stoke and you are using the full stroke to the end the dumping action, the force of the load could pull the end of the cylinder apart if you don't bottom the bucket out first.
Hope the makes sense.

Rick, the rod will touch arm before the cylinder reaches end of stroke.
