Sims verses Curtis Cabs

I love having a cab and a heater in upstate NY. Were at about 160 inches of snow so far and its not nearly over yet. My only complaint about the soft Curtis cabs is that the soft windows become very brittle in the extreme cold. Have broke 2 windows, cause they cracked in the cold if you bounce them against the tractor or role up the rear one in the cold. You have to treat them very gently in the cold weather. Dont let the wind blow them open against the tractor in bad weather.

I have the Curtis soft side cab and haven't had any broken windows yet. I have been out and used the tractor in -5 degree weather with wind chills of -20 and haven't done any damage to the windows at all. Kock on wood I might have just been lucky so far but I'm not going to complain. Like I had said in my other post, you could take out the plastic windows and replace them with glass or plexiglass if you wanted. Once you have the cab and the frame work the change over would be easy to do.

Which border? The dealer wants 3500$Cdn for a soft sided Curtis cab here. They don't sell the hard sided as it is about 6000$, almost the price of a Laurin Cab.

I've got a Sims soft side and the windows are in tatters from the extreme cold we've had. When it gets below 0, the clear vinyl would just as soon break as bend. I ordered some heavier clear vinyl online and plan on repairing the sides in the spring. I think before next winter I'll make a solid side for the left side, maybe using the soft side I already have and putting a frame on it.

Could you give any info on the supplier in Canada? Thanks.
