I have a Ford 1215 4WD compact tractor, about 14hp. Can anyone tell me if I can pull a single-bottom moldboard plow? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Bubu, it depends./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif What kind of soil do you have, sandy, clay, etc.? How hard is it? What's the moisture content; you may be able to plow when it's slightly moist, but not very well when it's dry. And how big a moldboard are you considering? How deep in the ground do you want to go? I'm going to guess that you would be happiest with a 12" moldboard, although they may be harder to find than a 14". If your ground is not too hard and/or you don't try to go too deep, the 14" may work well for you. But the simple answer to your question is, yes, you can pull a moldboard plow./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

BuBu, Make sure you can mate the plow to your tractor before you plunk you money down. On small tractors some small plows can't be positioned so that the right rear wheel rides in the furrow so that your not driving over what you've already plowed. I tried a used older 2-12 Ferguson plow on a Ford 1910 and the plow wouldn't go far enough to the right. I had to haul it back myself. An older JD 2-14 plow does work on my rig,but it is all it can handle.
