Single BX FEL Hyd Cyl

The 4' extention just locks into the tubing with one angle iron in front on the bottom and one in back on top, the weight of it keeps it in place. Makes it nice to put on and off, just lift the front by the pulley and off it comes. It attaches to the tubing I put in.

I'm sure that the BX loader is designed for that tractor and works great, I was just venting about a backyard wannabe selling to the unsuspecting.

Jeepone:

On my BX22 the bucket is great and has taken quite a bit of abuse in it's so-far short life. The bucket is well designed for rigidity, and there is quite a bit of gusseting across the bucket and around the cylinder mount. Remember that the bucket is 48", so the torsional moment against the cylinder is only 24" (half the length). Using 2 cylinders with a properly stiffened structure in this size doesn't buy you much.

If that's your big concern with kubota, go for it.

The single cyl workds great. The bucket is very heavy duty and lots of steel where it counts. I have used mine heavily over the last two years, doing things I probably shouldn't have, and I have no twists or anything. I could see this as being a concern if the construction was lighter, but you'll have no problems with the BX design....

Actually, I feel the BX FEL is stiffer than the 2410 FEL --for the intended capacity----note exactly what I said. You will find very little flex with the BX FEL. I feel the single center cylinder is a superior design in this size range tractor. It is one of the reasons the BX has such a responsive FEL. I am positive as an owner of both a BX and a 2410 that you are worrying about a non issue and seeing a positive as a negative. J

On such a little tractor, I doubt the one cylinder will cause problems. The FEL looks to be very well built, and there is plenty of reinforcement on the bucket. Also, I doubt you would be able to dig into anything with enough force to damage that loader. The BX2200 we have at work was bought only because of its small size for snow plowing in the winter, and we have found that in the summer there are things it just can't do with its limited power. Piles of "loam" (high content of clay) that have sat for years are hard to dig into with the BX, while a larger tractor or backhoe will have no problem. Basically, I'd be worried about the BX loader if the power of the tractor was increased, but the way it is, its a great little tractor, and very well built.

2 cylinders will let it twist as much as 1 will.
The 2 cylinder set up is tee'd so excess force isn't
equal, lock one cylinder and other one will do all the
movement.

Another thing that makes the BX loader so strong for it's size --check it out next time you look at one----notice how much closer the loader side frames are together when compared to a larger B unit. The BX loader arms are very close to the engine cowl which greatly improves visibility and also makes it very stiff. I wish the B2410 had the same loader arrangment. I think we may be seeing some future B series stuff being tried out on th BX. J
