What happened to the OP, he just quit responding. I guess we will have to depend on Skidsteer Express to fill us in on the fix as the OP seems to have just vanished from the thread.

If I were the OP and was trying to work out a warranty claim I wouldn't be yammering here in public once SSE finally made contact.

I had a good experience dealing with SSE, a couple months ago I purchased a skid steer trailer receiver hitch from them. Fit and welds are excellent, far better than what was expected for the price. Made an extension for it with a clevis at the end. Using a chain it's been an inexpensive way to pull trees.

Hope this gets resolved to the satisfaction of the OP and it does not leave a black eye for SSE.

Man, this is a rough crowd. I wonder how many are business owners. I've been a "small" dba business for 35+ years and have found dealing with other business owners less stressful than dealing with employee type non business owners. People that have never owned a business are far less patient with troubles. I'd rather wait for both sides of the story before an execution.

I am part of this "rough crowd". I have been a small business owner, and am currently a parts manager at a small dealership. I'm also glad to see that SSE has finally picked up the ball here. Let's see where it ends up.

Out of a thousand customers are you allowed to miss a call, miss an email?

No. Not if you want to stay in business. The OP said he called several times and sent several emails over a period of two weeks. Frankly I am amazed that folks are actually defending this behavior. Forget common sense business practice, it is rude.

This is a business. I expect them to do a professional job and at their price point I do Not expect any games. They aren't selling $2 chinese nicknacks.
JMO

Historically, they are primarily an importer. Their chinese nicknacks just cost a lot more than $2. Maybe they are now manufacturing or having stuff manufactured in the US, maybe not. If they are just a reseller, then issues like this may be difficult for them to answer.

I've been a small business owner for over thirty years and I've got or had customers that I won't call back.

Customers are not always right ... they like to think they are. As Gary stated interesting that the OP has not been back.

There are more than one on this thread that I don't need to do business with.

Here's where we are so far. Bill did call me early yesterday morning & I was at work & misssed the call but did have email contact with him several times yesterday.

Bill said there was a design flaw when they upgraded the cylinders to the type that I have and there were about 10 of these units that went out with this issue. He also says he will do what it takes to fix the problem.

We are still discusing the solution as I don't want to start cutting this thing apart or just weld some little triangle pieces to it that may break off later from the grapple opening and hitting these pieces. We should decide what needs to be done today & I will post what the answer is when we have one.

Design flaw ... OMG the rough crowd on this thread will probably not understand that.
