I went and sold my old John Deere 2240 backup tractor and bought a cab'd tractor for the winter..... I saved my old rear blower ' in case ' I have to wake her up early out of her slumber, though... Can't have too many tractors, except the old barn gets pretty crowded..... :)

Are those loader arms secured? You never want to park/store a loader with only hydraulic pressure holding it up.

Angle iron with rubber belting siliconed inside [ old white stuff I had laying around, saving my good black stuff ] on both sides. Stabilizer on hoe chained so they can't wander down. Bucket propped in place with 4X4's so it stays up. Battery maintainer. Tank full of winterized fuel.... :) [ retired folks have nothing but time..... ] :)

GEEZ, what's all that white stuff all over your property....?????? :) [ with that narrow road, you'd be a good candidate for a blower... ]

I saw that also. Look at all the walking around room - nothing on the floor to trip on. One of these days I WILL straighten up my workshop - just not today.

I can honestly say that is the strangest way I have ever seen someone store a tractor. Is there a reason for the hood being up? Loader being up? Sheets?

The big problem with cleaning and organizing is that you start to think you have room to buy more stuff...... it's a never ending corundum ... :)

Hood up to hook up charger, loader up so it does not block me from parking my Dodge Cummins back there soon [ rear barn door access ], sheets to keep the freshly warshed shinny paint fairly clean. Plus, I wanna, and at 68, I'm gonna..... :) I only have a 40X80' barn, which sounds big. But have a 16X40 workshop in the middle. Store two pickups, a 16' dual axle trailer, a JD garden tractor, a Craftsman riding tractor [ backup ], log splitter, about 10 face cord of firewood, generator, big 3pt box, lumber, steel, pipe, wood chipper, 3pt snowblower, big Toro ZTR, and two good sized tractors... Plus wheelbarrow, garden cart, trailer for garden tractor.... and the list goes on and on... need a bigger barn... but HAVE to be organized.

Those front blower are dang nice! I finally got to see one up close at the NDM last month. I would have LOVED to have one of those right before Christmas in '13... we got DUMPED on when they first started shipping loads to KS for the new DC. I was FREEZING on a cabless tractor trying to clear areas to get the trucks in and out. Add the fact that our docks are ones you back DOWN into, it made getting the trucks OUT of there fun...

Another reason to leave the hood up is that it's supposed to keep mice out. Supposedly they don't like to build nests where there is a lot of light. If it's got a clutch you also want to block the pedal down so the clutch doesn't rust itself to the flywheel.

I could see that being a benefit.

I think the only time my tractor looks like that(minus sheets) is when its' getting worked on. Sounds like the OP had a collection of toys that fit like a tetris game. Certainly well cared for.
