Slip clutch maintenance

If outdoors/exposed, perhaps just remove the shaft/clutch between uses, and store it inside till you need it next.

Well slap me stupid! Why didn't I think of such an obvious solution? :ashamed:

Got the drive shaft off and put inside.. WOW-- one of the grease zerks had almost unscrewed all the way- just hanging on with one or two threads. Pretty lucky.. :D.. -- I will loosen the springs and slip both cluthes this spring-Just wish I had thought of taken the shaft off earlier this year and stored them inside... The tiller shaft is a binacchi but cant find out what the cuttery shaft is--it is a Big Bee 5FT rottary cutter any ideas???

My driveshafts come off and live indoors during the winter months, and the front halves come in after each use. I took the Eurocardan slip clutch apart and cleaned it up this fall before storing it, took about an hour.
