Chris,
I think I drove past there on a recent trip to Montreal. It's a bit of a hike but might be worth a look. I'll give them a call. Thanks for the info.
I'm over in Vassalboro.

You might ask you dealer, if he can get one. Most dealers don't carry every implement in stock, from every supplier that services them.

You're correct about dealers not being able to carry everything. Especially such a small item that is not a big seller. However when I called the NH dealer, where I bought my tractor, the person I spoke with said he had never heard of a slip scoop, rear scoop, 3 point hitch scoop or pond scoop. He did not offer to find one or ask someone else about the scoop. Was it because I only want to spend $200 and not $20,000? I hope not.

I found a local dealer who sent me to his local supplier/warehouse. Picked up the scoop yesterday. It is sold under the name Worksaver S-1030. It looks like the Howes 30". I started making the modifications pretty much the same ones made by and discussed in past TBN posts. The experience of others really helped me. I first cut the front corners so the lift arms wouldn't hit. Then I filed the lever catch arm thing. Next will come the heavy spring to assist with the dump release when the weight is in the front of the scoop and a release arm extension to replace the rope.
Although the scoop works fine and I moved a few yards of loam last night it might not be able to keep up with Schooner, my Bernese Mountain Dog, who take the dirt out of the holes faster than I can fill them.
Thanks again for the wisdom.
David
