Well I out smarted myself again. I went to load my 10000 lb forklift on to my trailer to carry it to the shop and have a blown hyd cyl repaired. The cyl was flooding oil onto the front (drive) wheel making it imposible to get traction to back lift onto trailer. so I turned truck and trailer around and had the whole rig heading down hill. drove forklift past trailer, backed up will a little speed for momentium, and went right up the ramps
stepped on brakes and pulled parking brakes on and the forklift (with me still on it) sped up and slid down and to the passengers side of the trailer. LUCKILY the trailer had just enough of a lip, to catch the back tire and keep me and it from falling off the front of the trailer and into my new truck. So here it is starting to rain, with the 10000 lb forklift all the way to one front corner of the trailer, the front wheels of the 07 F250 powerstroke, crewcab almost off the ground as are the rear tires of the trailer. The trailer hitch was maybe 2 inches off the ground. and the metal diamond plated trailer deck is so slick you can hardly walk on it. I dropped the jackstand and used a pallet jack to lift the tailer, lift an inch crib an inch. until I got nearly level, used chains and ratcheting binders to inch it back towards the center of the trailer. Once it was close, I locked it down and drove to the shop, after 1 equaly scary attemt to pull it straight with a simular sized lift, They ended up picking the entire forrklift up by the roll cage and I drove the trailer out from under it. I learned my lesson, if its to slippery to go up a 8' ramp its to slippery to stop when you get there.
