Slow tire leak - BX25D suggestions

but on the BX front tire, I really dont think it will show up as I did the same thing on my BX front tire. It leaks so slowly- you couldnt find the leak even in pool, but its enough to drive you batty.

Is it possible that it doesnt leak when just setting there??? But only leaks when under heavy load and/or turning sharply?? Loose a little air every time you turn just right, but no leaks under normal conditions or storage could "Seem" like a continuous slow leak.

Actually, I think this is what is happening. I have been working in very tight quarters, turning hard and lots of FEL work. I think I will eventually just tube it. This seems to be the 'right' way to do it.

If you use slime be sure to use slime made for tires (tubeless) because they make slime for tubes and it is caustic and will rust out your wheel and it doesn't seal leaks in tires. Any time you hear someone bad mouthing slime, they have usually gotten the 2 mixed up. I did.

Thanks Steve! I did not know that.

I don't like that slime stuff. It makes a mess in the wheel. For what slime cost you could put a tube in it.

You could be right -- but the way I use mine, I just dont have a way to tell since I swap between FEL and mowing alot plus other tasks throughout the year and it just doesnt sit. The only time it ever sat is late fall or mid spring if the yard is too wet to drive on and I dont need to carry firewood in and no mowing/fel work needed. Plus its slimed now so no issues since. I am worried about my rims, but I guess I am your guinea pig to find out the aftermath when the time comes.

All very helpful information that will work if you so choose to do so, I've spent plenty of time fixing flats in my life. I did not however pay for a new tractor and tires (BX2660) just so I could work on it, I have plenty already. I took mine to my dealer and they put a tube in, I don't like tube tires so I told them very nicely that I expected a new tire or the tire fixed under warranty. They pulled one off a tractor on the lot and it also leaked. I took it back and they ordered new one through whole goods and four years later still no leaks. Our BX2200 bought new in 2003 never had any tire issues.

Hmmm... maybe I will have a little chat with my local Kubota dealer and let them know about the nuisance. I really don't expect them to do much however.

A good dealer should be willing to help you as they never know how much business they may gain or lose. We subsequently bought an M8540, L5030, L5740 and quite a few implements even though there is a Kubota dealer nearer to us.
