Small Diesel 4WD Garden Tractor with snow removal options for under $5000?

I have a 2008 Kubota BX 2350 with loader, mid-mount mower, and tiller. Bought it new (quite a big hit to the budget at the time), and it was worth EVERY penny. Got a good deal on it financed through dealer. 3 years no interest, and delivered to my front door. I have had no major problems other than the electric fuel pump failure. Just over 300 hours on it. I DON'T baby it at all. Pictures attached to show the big rocks I moved with it a couple weeks ago. For reference, the chain link fence is 5 ft. tall.

If I had it to do over, I would have gotten this when I built here 15 years ago. Best of luck with getting what you need.:thumbsup:
By the way, I have about 5 acres to take care of with this tractor.

Thanks for the replies. I am still thinking Kubota simply because of the volume of tractors out there and the parts availability. John Deere are nice, I know, but they tend to be more expensive for what you get which pushes it above the limit.
Diesel is good for me, since everything else is diesel, that means car, truck, and tractor all use the same oil.
It is a tight fit for the budget and what I want to get, but it has worked out for me in the past. I have time to wait, probably close to 3 months to look for something.
Size is also a limitation. The water table is high here, and so things with high ground pressure don't work too well. 4wd is helpful for the same reason and also in the snow on the hill.

If 4wd is important and you are concerned about overall weight of the tractor (high ground pressure) because of high water table.

I think you're probably looking at a 4wd Garden tractor rather than a Kubota BX.

Well the BX tractors and similar aren't that heavy in the 1400 range. Some of the recommendations of compacts push closer to 2000.
As I mentioned before the yard does necessitate a smaller more nimble machine like a garden tractor but having the extra capability is something I will use in the long run if not right away

Larger tractors like a B series have wider tires than the BX so they probably are about as "light on their feet" as a BX.

Husqvarna has a 22 hp gas, 4wd that is 570 pounds.

WOW....those are some huge rocks.

IMHO the little BX is not much more then a big garden tractor.....strip everything off except the MMM and it is not that big of a machine. Now before everyone flames me I love my BX and if you know my history here I think that the little machines are under rated by a great many people.

Personally I would jump on a BX/1 series/ GC type,size machine in a heart beat again....wish I did it years aog like the other poster said. I have not come across anything I could not do with the BX...anything. Having the ability to hang a loader/backhoe/blade/whatever on the back is just so darn handy. I also have a 26hp garden tractor, and that is nothing more then a lawn mower and snow blower anymore (I did not buy a snow blower for the bx) The Kubota can do all that (move snow with the bucket) and much much more.

Buy a used BX1800 - you can find one in the 1000-hour range easily in your budget. I just finished shopping for BXs a couple of weeks ago - there were 3 for sale in my price range, and two are still for sale. Once was a BX1800 w/ 54" deck for $5k (including 120mi delivery to my house). Two also had loaders and power baggers for ~$8.5k. I ended up buying a 600 hour BX2200 w/ loader, deck, and blower for $9k. If all you need is a mower, you can find a BX1800 with just a deck for under $5k easy. You can get a small (~50") 3pt blower for about $500 all day too.

I am pretty much set on some subcompact at this point. Kubota's generally come up the cheapest and most prolific and where I live there is a larger Kubota dealer nearby. Generally from what I have seen the 1500's - 2230's all seem to sell for about the same price, once you move up to the 50's and above the price goes up. I run diesel vehicles, so older = less emissions regulations, which means better longevity on the auto side of things.
I will keep scouring the internet to find one eventually one will come up close enough.
