I'll guess it at 8x18.

The OP isn't going to get 4' bales through a thrower or kicker, doesn't matter which. 32-36" is about the limit.

Yeah, 4 ft isn't going to happen. That will be obvious after the first couple bales.
Actually, he should size the bale to fit the wagon. If it's 16 ft long he can make them a little longer and still fit five on the floor. At 18 ft he could make them a whisker shorter and fit 6 in line on the floor.

I would add that make your you have a front gate on the wagon, It will help to add a couple more bales between changing out wagons. It also keeps the hay from sliding out the front when going down hill! :thumbsup: (ITs prolly common sense but I figured I'd add it.)
