This one - Gerber Tempo Microlight Flashlight 22-87

It gets used at least several times every day. Cheap enough to be a throwaway, but the one I EDC is about 6-7 years old now and still perfect. All I do is put a dab of silicone lube on the o-rings when I change batteries, which is about 2 x/year (regular AAA). Perfect size and weight to mouth hold. Small enough that you almost don't know it's in your pocket. Plenty bright enough to use for a night walking light.

I carry a small packet light with me everywhere I go. Funny how people will say, "why do you carry that and 5 min later, Can I use that?"

I go cheep, Rayovac Value Bright. It's a LED single AAA, shorter than a pen, about 1/2" in diameter. They cost $3. I've dropped them in the lake and grab another once back at the house. I buy them 3-4 at a time. I saw a homeless man digging through a dumpster at night, gave him my light.

Flashlight borrowing is ok with me. Pocket knives not so much. Have the usual supply of HarborFreight 9 bulb freebies with better batteries from the Dollar tree store. Never needed this stuff 30 years ago.
