After getting a 7x16 tandem-axle landscaper to haul my B2920, and later my L3200, it's my opinion that it should be the "minimum" trailer considered for tractors of this size. As in, don't even bother going single axle, and don't bother with a 7x12 or 7x14 tandem. These 7x16 trailers start around $2100-2200 new, and to me that's pretty darn reasonable compared to lesser single axle trailers that are going to be in the $1200-1600 range, or smaller tandems that are going to be in the $1800-2100 range.
I consider the 7x16 landscaper to be a good light duty trailer for homeowner types with smaller tractors and 1/2 ton trucks, small trucks, or SUVs. There's a point where you'd need to cross over to a larger trailer, perhaps an equipment hauler, and many folks here on TBN have done that. I guess you'd know it if you needed it. But for a BX and for hauling materials like mulch or gravel, I think a 7x16 landscaper is a good starting point.
