Thanks again for the help. I used the tractor today with my PTO wood chipper to see how it did under load. Smoked a little in the beginning but that was it. I guess I got lucky. someguyss, thanks for the PDF file. I looked again at my engine and I can't find the fill port that is shown in the picture. Possibly that was a design change made after my model year, 2005? I will just take it slow when filling up next oil change.

This is the proper oil filling procedure of all Daedong built tractors regardless of the color Orange, White, Red or old Yellow/Black. Hope this will help some other folks in the future.

Great explanation. The pictures help folks like me.

I have a 2005 DK45S that also shows the oil inlet in the manual on the valve cover and is grey in color and says oil on it. I have the orange colored rubber stopper plug on the left side behing the exhaust pipe looks like its in the timing chain cover that would take a long flexable neck funnel to add oil.
