Gerald that's a good idea. Years ago we used to use a similar crushproof tube for service stations that my family owned. There were also small openings on the bottom of the bay doors (gun ports) that you could pass the tube out of while the doors remained closed to the cold. They worked quite nicely even back then. This is the company that we used to purchase them from. exhaust system

I do this too on days when there isn't enough wind to blow the smoke out the door fast
enough or I'm taking off the back hoe and I have to run the tractor while I'm in the garage for a few minutes.

I used radiator hose and a small copper pipe connector. Works great.

Hey Gerard,

Do you have any varmints? I've used this approach with the exhaust pumped into their holes.

Great idea. I'm going to rig up something similar. If i don't open all the doors my smoke alarms go nuts.

I wonder if a short pipe connecting the exhaust to the air intake would work. noooooo. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Roy: It's 3" flex hose with rigid vent pipe on the end. Here's a side photo of it taken the night before the snow fell. Gerard

When the KIOTI has a permanent parking spot (addition needed) I will put a dryer vent in the wall. Right now it's parked where the Corvette usually is. Gerard

Forgot to mention that the door is usually only opened about a foot or so. For photo sake, it was opened all the way. Gerard

Good idea. Did you make a sleeve to fit snug over the exhaust pipe? I would think that there might be a risk of carbon monoxide building up in the garage with the door closed. Just thought I'd point out an obvious safety concern.

No. I just slide the flex pipe on. It goes about 4 to 6 inches over the exhaust pipe. Gerard

Bluenoser is two things:

1) I'm from Nova Scotia and we're called bluenoser's here (after the famous Bluenose schooner);

2) I own a New Holland...it all has a blue nose. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
