Yes, why don't we have those screens? I ran one of those little greyish mitsubishi Bd2g bulldozers, tiny 7500 lbs, and its fuel fill included the screen. Sure there are fuel filters down the line but I would rather not dump junk in the tank. I suppose we could all use funnels with screens but the funnels get taken out of the fill kneck and tossed in tthe back of the truck where they get coated with junk so no good.
How did the blade of grass get past your fuel filter?
I once ran a rented Kubota TLB and someone had been moving bark dust with it. We landscape with bark from trees in the NW. We knew it was barkdust because when you opened the fuel cap you could see the floaters. Seems the previous renter fogot to put the fuel cap on and got a load of bark in the tank. That bark dust and the fines made for a plugged fuel filter. Thinking back, it may have been some kid messing with the renter.
