Sneak Peak at New 2016 Yanmar's

I'm probably in the old school minority but I hate seeing non-metal components on tractors. The shiny new tractors with their fancy styling for me are going to take some getting used to. I guess I think of a tractor as a workhorse as opposed to a dancing Arabian. My 30 year old Kubota is about right for me with steel fenders and hood.
I better quit before I get carried away here. Anyone else feel this way about tractors and other machinery?

I certainly do. To me one of the prettiest tractors made were the 50 series JD's that had the Yanmar affiliation. Designers like to ...well, design. Unfortunately, some get carried away thinking the tractor needs to be aerodynamic for those colossal speeds of 12 mph. Some design just for "designs sake" which in my mind destroys the natural beauty of a tractor and many other things.

yea i hate the conplicated body work and curves on many modern tractors.

The hood on my uncles JD 4400 has been cracked for at least 5 years now. The tractor is 16-17 years old or so and has a plastic hood. Time has not been on that things side.

It has also been pretty babied and had fluids changed pretty much on time for its life and used as a rural homes tractor not for work. I think two out of the three ranges have two gears each (same ones in each range) that randomly pop out of gear while working the tractor or just driving.

Deffinitly a far cry from the tractors that JD made 40-70 years ago!

New 2016 Yanmar's/SX 3100 Replacement

I did not see a "new" Sx 3100 in the Spring lineup. Coming with the other new units as well?

The SX3100 and EX3200 will be replaced with the New YT235 Rops and Cab tractor. They are also working on Other New Models but I don't think we will se those till Late 2016 or Early 2017.

Are you referring to the larger 357 and 359 as late 2016/2017 or other models not yet announced?

Look like nice machines and the specs look great too... Looking forward to seeing the finished product in person along with a user test.

The headlights are ugly though (IMO)

Are you referring to the larger 357 and 359 as late 2016/2017 or other models not yet announced?

The EX3200 and SX3100 will be replaced with the New 35HP YT235 which will be Available Around April 2016. The New Larger 47HP YT347 and 59HP YT359 will be Available around February 2016
