Re: New 2016 Yanmar's/SX 3100 Replacement

Sounds all good and everything but if there are no dealers around, how are they going to sell many?
They make it look like they have dealers...maybe you have to special order any Yanmar tractor from these places??????

When I put in my Zip @ the Yanmar site, it lists about 15 places. I checked the first ten and NONE of them had even a mention of Yanmar tractors, although a few said they had parts. Most just sold Cub Cadets.
I'm in Michigan and even checked the ones listed in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois....NUTHIN

I'd like to know how many REAL Yanmar dealers are out there? I would define that as "a place that has at least 3 or 4 machines to look at and drive.

Awesome that they are offering a front PTO/3pt from the factory in that size class (YT3).

I was looking at these again. I guess Santa didn't find my wish list for this year . What makes you think these have a front-mount PTO/3pt? I don't recognize it in any of the photos.

There are a couple threads discussing the new Yanmars (perhaps they should be merged?). I posted about the YT3 series having the front hitch in this thread which started out about the new YT4 series then kind of went to discussing the Yt3, I guess I wasnt clear enough in my post which tractor I was referring to.

As to the YT4's having front PTO, I havent found anything yet about it on the Yanmar Japan site, but I would be surprised if it was going to be offered on at least one model in this series.

Santa didnt find me either.. darn it.

Thanks for clearing this up. I recognize that photo now but when I went back through this tread looking for evidence of a front pto the only mention was your post. This must have first been discussed in another thread. My brother just bought a rear disc cutter for making hay. I realize now how nice it would be to have something that ran out front and if buying new the cost of the mower wasn't much different. I was curious if Yanmar was actually addressing that in the new mid-sized tractors.

Not that I'm actually buying right now, but still interested in what's out there. Maybe if I'm really good this year Santa will find me next year.

I don't know about other states . . But western wi and central wi definitely have active dealers. I don't mean to make it sound sparse . . these are places I've been at in the last 10 months. And MN also has active dealers.

I can vouch Maine and New Hampshire have active Yanmar Dealers. Yanmars been showing up at the local Fairs and one of the dealers was demoing a YT3 at the Forest and Farm Expo in Manchester, NH this past weekend.

Northern Alabama had a good dealer . Maynard Equipment in Brownsboro AL. The elder Maynard was a Yanmar service and sales through years of gray market and various John Deere and Cub Cadet stuff but is also a Yanmar Dealer. Son is taking over business and is great to deal with.

What do you think of the YT3? I would like to hear from a user on the new transmission

I've got a local dealer here who was selling Yanmar-Cub-Cadets, then started carrying Mahindra. Now he only has a couple of the little Yanmar's left, but a bunch of Mahindra's. Sounds silly to say, but it might be weird to sell two "red" brands at one place.
