maybe you could do a six way belly blade like this

http://www.grouser.com/pdfs/belly_blades/Literature Belly Blade - 2008.pdf

that would be amazing- and a ton of work- be great for road maintenance though

Yeah, Iirc it was 776 pounds as it sit's in the pic.!
I'd love a wing but I'm not completely sure how I'll use it yet, it's out back half buried in the snow, A true wing (like) build will be rather complicated and I have concerns about building supports with enough heft to carry it without breaking them or damaging the tractor.
You missed the rubber on the plow, it's there. I want to find a Fisher XV-2 for the tractor :licking:

That blade looks rugged! On my 5093e i have a boss 9-2 dxt frame mounted and a 92" inverted normand on the back. I think its a great setup and i have not had any issues that i couldn't handle. I run a hydraulic top link so i can keep the blower from digging in on gravel. This tractor dyno tested at 85 pto hp and i have not had a issue with running out of power. The speed of travel basically become governed by how fast the blower can process the snow. In regards to a wing on a tractor in this hp range i would be a bit nervous about putting that lateral force on the machine. I can just picture plowing along at 15mph and the hitting something with the wing.... I dont think it would be pretty. Matt

My experience is with my own 200' driveway plus fairly big parking/turnaround area, also here in Maine. I had a reg cab with a 7.5' plow prior to my divorce. The truck went but I kept my tractor, so I went to a 4' snowblower with an 18hp diesel, now upgraded to 24hp with a hydrostatic transmission. Even being much narrower and slightly underpowered it's still about the same time to snow blow as plow any storm over 6" when there were no banks to worry about. As happens in Maine every couple of years, this year the banks got big fast for those plowing. When this happens at my place I basically push all the snow up the driveway and into the yard, requiring numerous passes with a plow with no scoop function. I would still end up with large banks at the end of the driveway that i'd have to fight with one way or another. I have no banks ever and that is really nice. I have no need for the loader because of this.

If you put the blower on the front I don't think you'd ever go back to the plow. In small storms you can just go faster. You'll never have banks to deal with on drives, and in lots you probably could scoop pretty well with a v-plow but with a blower you'll still improve performance.

My only hesitations would be 1) if you want to be able to keep charging the premium money for snow blowing when it's obviously extreme or you don't think your customers will pay more for the upgraded equipment, and 2) potential safety/property damage risk from throwing something at someone/something. This can be greatly controlled by the operator so could be a non-issue.
