Snow snow blower

I have a John Deere 650 and wondering what kind of 3 point hitch snow blower can be used this type compact tractor. Any hints would be appreciated.

Any kind/brand will work, you probably want no more than a 48" unit I would guess.

Go to the Deere website and see what blower they advise with your machine. Thisw will give you a good idea of what will work with it from other suppliers. Is it in current producton? Sorry, I don't know the model.

I've got a Bolens 174 which is roughly the same size as your JD 650 and I use a 48" rear mount blower and it works great. As was already mentioned, pretty much any brand of will fit your machine, just don't go any bigger than 48" or you'll run out of hp to operate it. Mine is an Agrotrend brand, kind of entry level price wise, but quite functional and it suites my requirements.

The JD 650 is about 20 years old.

The big disadvantage with a rear blower on the 650 is the fact that it does not have live PTO. When you push the clutch in deep snow the blower will stop too.

It probably has a 2-stage clutch.
There's always workarounds, however. Just got to work within the tractor's capabilities and limitations.

Nope. No 2- stage clutch. The PTO is transmission driven.
