Ever since we have become concerned about global warming there have been more incidences of snow than I can remember from years past. And I have a lot of years past. I am watching the radar and am seeing snow just over the county line north of me. Just a couple of miles away, hope we get some of it.

You can have it! I just finished blading the remaining slush off my driveway, finally got it down to mostly gravel showing. :)

I heard one TV newsman this morning say we normally see two winter storms per year, while this is the seventh one for this year. It does appear that this one is going to go by just a few miles south of us this time though.

According to last nights weather forecast the center of this is about at the level of Waco. We are getting mostly rain but did have some small sleet earlier. My place is all sand so I am going to have to be careful where I take the tractor because there are a number of places where it is waterlogged.

Our front ditch has had a thin trickle of water for 2-3 weeks from seepage down the slope.

We finally got our first dusting. This was our driveway this afternoon.

Yea I live just south of Dallas and I already have an inch or so on the ground before I went to work where as in Dallas there is nothing and it's warmer.

That's very pretty, Don, but I'm glad to say it missed us this time; been about 36 degrees, overcast, but dry all day.

and we didn't get anything near that just 15 miles away -- mainly just spittin' but not stickin'........we got some big flakes for awhile -- but they were gone as soon as they hit. there was a small sign here and there for a few minutes ...but nothing like your pic

We had some snow and some sleet I think earlier. It's 33 now so nothing freezing if we have any more. We are about 25 miles north of Houston. It's really cold out. I bought garden plants to put out, they are now in my den.

It snowed quite a bit on our place. Kept the critters penned up. Had no idea when it would stop.
It was a very heavy wet snow. When it got light enough to see, the flakes were half dollar size.
The two pictures show what it looked like. The first was taken at 7:30 AM the second at lunchtime.
It kept snowing until about 4:00 PM but a lot of it had started melting already. The ground was still warm from the 60 degrees we had on Monday.
The accumulation was right at 3 inches.

Cut my lawn on Friday. I'm on the west coast of Canada. We have had the warmest January on record ever. February is mild as well. Last year we had the most snow since 1996, see pic of house. Other pic is of our goats enjoying the sunny warm weather a few days ago. Weather pattern seems to have changed, we have had a number of trees die. The last few summers have been long warm ones. Had 90 year old Douglas firs die in the past couple of years, 150 ft tall and over 3 ft in diameter.

Well, from what the weathermen showed on the TV, you are about to get pounded with a storm. Batten down the hatches; your winter ain't over yet.:)
