We didn't get squat this year. Some Winters are really mild, some are more like the real thing and occasionally we get hammered. The last tractor had a rear blower that was fun, but really slow. That was the reason behind going with a blade. It is easier to use and much faster than the blower. I do a couple parking lots at our church, and the front blade has been the best snow removal tool so far. The tractor has plenty of grunt and the grooved tires give it traction. We had a few light snows this past Winter, and I used it without anything on the 3PH. It did OK, but a counterweight is on the list before next Winter.
Post 652 below is from the Winter 2018/2019 and at that time the
L4240 was carrying the rear blower that was really for the
L3200 we sold earlier this year. Early in the season I snapped a shear pin on the blower. It only takes about two minutes to replace the pin, but the blade worked so well I didn't replace the pin and just kept the blower on for rear ballast.
