There are a few places where I'd like to be able to back-blade, but I'm pretty sure I could accomplish what I need just with the blade as is... Just need to pull it away from the house, then plow it away forward. I think I'd rather have skid shoes than a back blade attachment...

Looks like a Fisher with back drag. You can see there's a cutout where the shoe post would go but the back drag plate is too far forward at the moment. Is it stuck there? It should move. Below is a video of one. With shoes maybe it wouldn't tip as far? I don't bother with shoes on my truck.

It's only that far forward right now as the blade is face down - it does pivot back.

Here is my latest workup moving the pivot point forward on the a-frame as suggested. I'd like to start buying material and start welding this weekend - so I have another question for folks. All of the tubing you see in the drawing - I was intending to use 1/4" wall. Is that massive overkill? Would 3/16" suffice?
