Oops, my bad. I thought the valve you linked to was just a 2 port open/close valve.

Actually, I don't understand that valve at all.

Well if the valve was normally open wouldn't the curl function as normal and when closed divert the fluid to the single action cylinders? Since there is three ports on this valve I would assume that it how it would work?

Read the description carefully, the two side ports are "common" to each other. and when the valve is de-energized it acts as a check valve. Just because it has three ports does not make it a "diverter".

A diverter valve has one IN port, and two OUT ports, and only one OUT port is connected to the IN port at a time, so the fluid is "diverted" from one port to the other depending on whether the solenoid is energized or not.

The 5117 valve is a "double" selector (diverter) valve, so there is two IN ports and four OUT ports.

You are correct in your thinking of how a diverter works, but the valve you linked does not do that-at least by the description anyway.

Is you FEL valve has a PB port, then you can add a manual valve like Chris is talking about, or a solenoid spool valve if you want independent control operated from a rocker switch on the joystick.

Kenny,

I was just reading your post on the addition of your snow plow, nice work and it looks awesome. I need to figure out if there is power beyond on my DX33 as I have an additional valve that I could add but I like the idea of the diverter valve with perhaps a momentary switch to run the 4-in-1 bucket I picked up.

Chris,

I am wondering if I have a power beyond port on the DX. I have one set of rear remotes for my hydraulic top link and I have the second valve to install for the second set of rear remotes. I would like to add the additional ones to the front for the snow plow and for a 4-in-one bucket I just bought.
If you already have a rear remote, all you need is a pair of hoses run to the front for the blade angle.

I would consult Case but you should have a PB on your FEL valve.

I have the rear remote tied up with the hydraulic toplink but I have another valve to install and may use it for the angling and the 4 in 1 bucket...

Chris

I stopped by and talked with the service manager and he seemed to think there was a power beyonf port coming out of the loader valve so there is another option as well. Just waiting for the weather to straighten up here so I can pull the wheel and put the other valve on and check out the power beyond option.
