Yes, a 25 HP compact tractor with a FEL & back blade will keep your drive & road clear.

People around here have been doing it for longer most of us have been alive with old 9N, 8N Ford tractors & a back blade.
25hp old iron is around 5,000lbs. 25hp now is 1,500-2,500lbs. Well under half the traction.

Thomas so you think 25 is too little? I would like to be able to run R4 tires unloaded without chains with a HST trans. What do you think?

You may have to keep snow banks push back if you have snow drifting,BIG snow fall plow during half the storm than clean up after storm, wet heavy snow storm take small bites w/plow.
If the snow deep sometimes I plow both edges of road first before the middle, seems to be quicker cleaner job done.

Driveway/roads any of it on slope or place ice can collect,if so tire chain could come in handy.

My L2800HST has 7 1/2' plow attach to bucket and rear scraper blade back tires loaded no tire chains, only got stuck once in 7 years I wasn't paying attention.

I use my 24 HP New Holland. I live in the land of lake effect in Indiana. Last winter was not too bad, but we had a couple times where we had 2 foot drifts. Not a problem. I have a gravel drive and did not do anything with the cutting edge. This thread just reminded me I need to order Edge Tamers. Tractor Loader Bucket Attachment | The Edge Tamer

They will help me from depositing a lot of gravel into the yard. Also I can start by pushing back far into the yard so I have room to accumulate snow during the winter.

Being in Indiana the driveway is dead flat. So traction was not much of an issue. If you have traction issues add weight or chains (or both).

If you really want to make things easy on yourself, here's the setup you want...

That is a sweet video and that set up would be awesome!! The one issue I have that I did not mention is this is a cabin where I cannot keep up on the snow as the storm continues. It may be days later after a freeze/thaw happens, how would the snow blower set up work then? By the way I was LOL at your rear wiper in the video...:)

...that's not MY setup! I laughed when I saw the rear wiper sticking out as well.

I don't have a snowblower for the tractor. I do have a 15 hp 36" JD I use for walkways. I've gone through 2+ feet of snow with the thing. I think for a remote cabin you'll be using the bucket the most with the rear blade to clean up behind you.
