Definitely some type of blower is in order. Front, rear, inverted, single stage self powered.
I personally keep a standard rear facing blower around for the occasional big snow, but they are infrequent in my area. The rear facing blowers are the cheapest, and easier to put on than front mounts.

In the spirit of optimizing what I have at the moment, I have put 300lbs of sand in the rear of the RTV. It does seem to balance the machine out more and reduce some of the traction issues. I'll put the chains back on as well and see if that combo allows me to push the banks back further. We are expecting snow this week so I'll give it another try. The chains are v-bar and do help a lot with traction so I would expect weight plus traction should be better.
