SNOW REMOVAL (Round Two)

Here we go again! Had a nice day weatherwise -- fifteen degrees outside and calm -- then about four hours ago the snow from this latest Nor'easter began. Nine fresh inches on the driveway already and the storm just got started! The forecast calls for 1-2 feet in the Champlain Valley, but here in the mountains we generally get more than that.

At least it's cold and fluffy stuff -- easy to plow in the morning.

Re: SNOW REMOVAL (Round Two)

I have 10" on the ground and it's just changed over to freezing rain (Central MA). Looking for an inch of ice on top of the snow.

We'll see how the Jinma and JRW blower handle the ice in the morning.

I know it handles dirt, gravel, and mulch just fine. I do need to work on the driving in reverse at speed. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Anyone remember this post from the distant past? We are less than 3 months away from the one year anniversary of when all this started. People that have been asking questions about "do I need a snowblower?", should read this entire thread... lots of good information of what to look forward to with winter comming...

This year I'll have a plow on the front of my Chevy truck. Heated cab, a nice stereo, a dog for company...I actually find myself looking forward to winter! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Clementine will probably see use only once a week when I need the FEL to move snow back from the road...or to sculpt that bobsled run again!

Here's to the white stuff.

I agree Pete! I'm looking forward to my first snowmobile ride of the season.

This year I'll be plowing a much shorter driveway with just my bucket. It's not the perfect solution, but my new 3830's 72" HD bucket will far exceed my little BXs abilities. I saw my old BX today at the dealer waiting to be taken home by a nice family. I just hope she doesn't get abused.
