The weather station forecast a snow warning for this area...I think they were a tad off /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gifand maybe should have label this storm a Noreaster. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

16" of snow and the snow drifts are growing. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Oh darn I guess I have to stay home and plow..plow. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

NBC national news last night did call it a Noreaster; don't know just where they filmed their pictures, but it sure looked tough. I can hardly believe it's 46 here this morning.

Good morning Bird, and hope you got the coffee on.

You have 46..heck haven't felt those temps since last November.
26 here and the snow falling like bombs here from the trees...ouch. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

You were tilling yesterday and I'm plowing just about 17" w/ drifts today,so I guess when your planting it should be mud season.

Thomas, consider yourself lucky /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif After our record December we had a very dry January and got a whopping 2" last night. I didn't even bother getting the tractor out. It's supposed to warm up today so I just shoveled a bit. I guess the good news is we're a day closer to being able to "play" in the dirt /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Have fun moving all that snow /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Good Morning Thomas, about 7 inchs on the ground this morning of that white stuff and it's heavy today. It took an hour this morning just to clear the driveway. Glad I had my chains on!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif It was supposed to stop but is coming down harder now then yesterday. I guess I'll gas up the 1720 and be out tonight widening the driveway again. I glad that I got my tractor this year and I not doing it with my little Toro and snowblower.
Have a great day!

This is unreal! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

You guys are getting frozen and buried, and out here in Californy we're having summer weather.

The daffodil's are already coming up at the property -- spent much of my time transplanting big batches of them so's they wouldn't be in the way of my tractorin' areas. It was a bonafide T-shirt weekend and I was lamenting that all I had was heavy long-sleeved shirts. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I think Letterman's right -- the government is controlling the weather. And it's anybody's guess what their plan is...

Harv,

Consider my thoughts about the snow... checking the photos of cars burried off I-80 in NJ... the condition of that road is just terrible! I can only guess what I'll be going home to. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Here in AZ, it is too hot to wear more than a short-sleeved shirt! Yesterday it is 88 and sunny! Today will probably be similar... I can't imagine weather being any better than it is here at this time... of course, an ocean within sight might be fun. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Be careful when you return home, Muhammad!

My understanding of forum masters is that if they change temperatures too fast, they crack! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Yes, it is in fact a shock to get off a plane in Chicago or Philadelphia and feel the first breeze of that 8° wind... /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Sounds like you got the storm that went south of the Great Lakes and then moved up the east coast. I think RobS mentioned that we got an inch or two of light snow, with another inch or so last night. Not even worth firing the tractor up for. Of course, two months ago that much snow would have meant at least two pushes. It's supposed to get into the 40's toward the end of the week with some rain. All of our snow may soon turn to slush.

I was out and about for lunch last Friday and walked across a grassy area between the restaurant and parking lot. First time since early December I'd actually walked on grass. It's the little things, I guess.

Keep the fuel tank full and the coffee on the stove for when you come in from plowing.
