Snow SNOW?

Well, I did get my snowday BUT my wife didn't, nor did we really get any snow. We got a dusting with a little icing, but once again, no snow to try the new B7100 out in. My buddy from Waterford, VT in the Northeast Kingdom just called this morning and said they are supposed to get over 2 feet!

Ok, update for south central PA. This stuff stinks. We got about 5 inches yesterday which I I had fun plowing. Now overnight, we got an additional 3-4 inches of sleet. That stuff is heavy and going to take a little more time to clear with my little bx1500. Should still be fun, but the commute to work this morning was miserable.

Hello guys from a newbie I was reading your post as I sat here at work and had to chime in. Here in Northern PA we got about 15" last night and we are still getting hit they say we should have another 10" to 15" before it quits. I can't wait to get out of work and try out the new BX.

All you guys just itching to plow snow.

I get home a bit before 4:00PM and figure I have a bit of work freezing on by little B7200 and behold.

I poked around for a ½ hour shoveling out the out building doors and came in for a great valentine’s day supper.

There she is pushing snow!

Have I got a great wife or what?

WOW! What a day. I'm in heaven. But now it's high winds and blowing snow all over.
Anyway, on to the fun. What a difference the tractor makes! I had been using a Simplicity 38" walk behind for years on a 1000' + driveway and had minor problems with it. Simply put, it was very tiring and over 1 hour to clear the drive.
Now with the tractor, 1/2 hour and I'm done. I think the best part is watching the snow hit the trees 20' the trunk! It's a blast.
OH, we picked up 21" here in Altamont... about 20 min west of Albany, NY. A nice change from the ugly brown that we have had now since the leaves fell.
Hope you all enjoyed yourself today!

Yes you do have very considering wife Mike!!!...kinda puts smile on your face plus warmth in your heart.

My wife refuses to use the tractor or snowblower, but she will shovel and shovel....kinda feel bad,for what takes her hours to do the blower or plow will do in mins.

We got 3"-4" of "diarrhea snow" as I like to call it. A wet, sloppy, slushy mess of snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain. Yuck.

I should have cleared the driveway yesterday morning before heading out but I didn't. Now it's frozen as solid as concrete. My 3700lb car literally didn't even break through the crust this morning on my way out. I can only hope I don't skate past the door when trying to garage the car tonight!

The Farmington CT area got about 1 - 2 inches of snow and about 3 inches or so of ice crystals (sleet) on top of that. I used my B3030 cab with Kubota front blade and it worked flawlessly :) Any snow that was not removed last night is now frozen solid.

I had so much fun I ended up clearing out two of my neighbor driveways and I ran the Kubota up and down the street a couple of times to.

L-39 pushes snow rather well with the bucket, no weights or chains. A plow blade would work, but the light front end and short wheel base would make steering next to impossible with an agled blade.

I cleared a wide path on about an 1/8 mile of road with average of 1 foot of snow to our neighbors new riding ringk. It took about an hour to clear.

I droppped off the new whell and loder bottom tube weights at the barn , but do not have the hardware to mount them yet. Adding a total of 530 Lbs will help the machine push a bit better and the weights also act as spacers. I figure with chains. the tractor would just chugg along and push a pile of snow a foot deep withiut stopping.
To bad it would be less than a 6' path
