That sounds like it will work just fine.. and for the price of two hydraulic hoses fitted with quick connects. I would just remove the FEL and use the qc ports and the FEL control stick to operate the chute ? That sounds way better than $800 for the rear remote kit.

Something I don't understand is the pull behind models.

1- If you get a snowblower I hope its because you may have allot of snow to blow.
2- "Rule of thumb" for a rear (riding backward) snowblower is to get it slightly wider than the tractor so you don't step on uncleared area.

Well guess what, if its a pull behind, how do you not step on an uncleared area? And some good snow storms may even become challenging to step on top of 16"+ of snow.

I considered the pull behind untill I said to myself: "Wait a minute..."

Having said that, my upcomming snowblower will probably very well be a 3-pt hitch 54" (unless I can't find one).
AND, I Can't image not having the loader on during any seasons, way too usefull.

I believe the pull behinds are designed for snow removal contractors. They can start at the garage door and clean towards the road. They are more efficient and faster but are limited to smaller snow accumulations. If you use yours for personnal use, I believe the standard rear blower is the way to go.
I just bought one last week, Kubota 51 in with manual chute. I will pick it up sometimes in November before the first snow.

I did a lot of research on pull behinds, didn't choose because of desire to clean up snowbanks. The issue of driving over the snow is not apparently important - it will clear down to the set scraper level especially with larger machines that have a bit more weight and force. There's a huge difference between snow driven over a second or two earlier and snow driven over on a previous pass minutes earlier e.g. if conventional blower is too narrow. The pros wouldn't use them if they didn't work or left frozen tracks. They might not be as good in a truly huge snowfall/drift situation if can't drive tractor through it, though if FEL on I suspect you could usually manage and that'd be a rare situation for most.
