Good job on that Saskman.
Here's my version I put together close to 20 years ago using a surplus cylinder and steel and cables I had lying around. The only parts I had to buy were the 2 pulleys and the hoses.
It has always worked great. On my previous tractor, I could rotate it well over 210*, but I had to reduce the rotation for the B7800 or the chute would hit the cab when the blower was raised. I did that by changing the pulley spacing.
The cable is a little sloppy now since I bent the cross bar the pulleys are mounted on by trying to rotate the chute when it was frozen up.(Snow had melted, water ran down to base of chute and froze chute to blower body.)
I used a piece of the hand crank that slides into the larger piece of the crank.I just cut off a small piece, drilled a small hole in both the shaft and small piece and put a nut, bolt and lock washer.Hey JWatt.... electric right? Looks great! Had a question regarding the shaft connection to the 'worm drive' of the chute. Did you use bushings or sleeve to fit the shaft(s) for the motor and the receiving part? Did you bore your own to fit? I've been having a hard time trying to find something that would marry the two together.
Otherwise I've got all the parts but that. I didn't even think about the chute deflector attachment. Cool idea.
