All ,

I have a 1 year old 48" snowblower from my lawn tractor (belt drive). I was wondering if there is a conversion kit that would replace the belt system for a PTO Shaft system. I was thinking of using this off of the 3PH on my JD4110

I doubt you can buy a conversion off the shelf.

Don't know what your fabrication skills & equipment are, If one or both is low, you may be better off selling the blower & buying a 3point one ($1000 +/-).

Don't get me wrong, it can be done if you're handy & have the tools. If you had to pay someone to fab the parts it could get expensive fast.

Good luck!

If I recall correctly (which is a BIG "if"), JD makes a kit to adapt the larger garden tractor implements to the 4100 series tractors. That may be a good starting point if you want it on the front of your 4110 /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Rob,

You are correct, but I think the 400 series attachments are shaft driven, not belt! I'm sure the mower is & assume that the snowblower is too.

Mark,

Haven't used a 3point blower so can't really recommend one. Do a search here, many have been discussed.

PS try "snowblower", "snow blower" "snowthrower" and "snow thrower" the space may make a difference.

Also call the local dealers & ask what they carry, then you can ask here if anybody's got one.

Mark, I have a 42" White single stage blower that my father converted into a 3ph unit. Bought a gear box from a local supplier and mounted it on a plate and bolted that to the back of the blower. Made the 3ph out of flat bar stock. Relatively easy, but...bear in mind that when blowers break it's because there's a ton of snow outside and you probably have no choice to clear it.

I bought a 54" Puma from Pronovost. It's decent, but nothing to write home about.
