Kubot M6800 & GR2110
Hello all, I just purchased a new Kubota GR2110 with a mmm and a gr2707 46 inch snow blower. I put everything together today and even though the gears appear to be in perfect alignment on the blower and nothing is hitting I can't help but feel it sounds very course. Is this normal? The blower is shaft driven and if I disconnect the driveshaft the unit turns very easily by hand. The chain has a 1/4 of an inch deflection and is not bouncing when running. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Mark.

Autotechmark- My M-F GC2310 with blower also makes quite a loud noise as soon as it's engaged-- sounds like a rock tumbler; I chalked it up to chain noise. Seems to work just fine. Just remember to check bolts often!

Some large snowblowers are shipped without any lube in the gear reduction box. [that's how my JRW came, dry] Just to be sure, check out the oil level, and fill with syn gear lube. I lube my chain each spring, and usually at least once during the winter season. You should also clean the unit, regrease the chute, and touch up the paint in the spring, too. Especially if you have to store it outside. The chain may be a little noisey since the unit is new. You may hear extra noises if you spin it by the auger, and that is normal.
