is it possible to take a front mount snowblower and convert it over to a 3 point mounted snowblower

Anything is possible with enough inginuity and money. One thing to check is the direction of PTO rotation as well as the speed of the PTOs.

Why not consider selling the front mount blower which traditionally sells at more then twice the cost of new rear units. Go buy a new rear unit and buy take a few bucks to the savings bank perhaps.

If I didn't get a lot of snow, I guess I could understand what you are doing, but the front mounted blower is great for snow removal if, like me, you will spend many hours at it on may different occassions, and the snow comes and stays for several months at a time. Today I went out and blew about 5" of fresh low moisture content snow. It only takes about 35 minutes from start to putting it away, because I can cruise quite fast looking forward.

Right now, in my own case, I have no need for a FEL I haven't seen the ground since Thanksgiving. Once the snow is gone then I will switch the blower out and put on the FEL.

Yep! My first thought was that the quick and easy way of just putting on some 3 point attachment lugs and connecting it up. Then fire it up and watch it make snow, vice removing it. :)
