IH Super M
I have an IH Super M Tractor, and was wondering would a single stage or double stage snow blower work better for this tractor It will be used on a gravel roud

A two stage snowblower is almost always better than a single stage as far as not clogging and generally working better. That said, if your tractor does not have live or independent PTO I have heard that single stage blowers are better for not clogging at the the end of every pass with a transmission PTO. Another thing that has a big effect on how well a blower will work on a tractor is the reverse gear speed. I see the Super M reverse listed 3.8 miles an hour on TractorData, which is kind of on the high side for a blower with 50 hp in any more than a few inches of snow.

If as Working on Rust has suggested you do not have live pto, then I would suggest you start looking for an inverted or pull type blower.
Here is mine installed on a 2wd Nuffield 465.
It is a single auger two stage unit made by Smyth Welding in Canada.
Previously I had a conventional style rear facing blower but the Nuffield reverse gear was far too fast and even though I had live pto I was having to slip the clutch or hold the tractor back with one rear brake so that the blower could manage the snow.
Next I found a very rare low reverse gear for the Nuffield and installed it but it was still too fast.
With the inverted or drag behind blower I have all five gears of the transmission plus the two ranges (high and low) so I can have the tractor traveling at a speed through the snow that the blower can handle.

This type of blower has been around for a few years and used ones do come up,
The rear blade is my addition although it is also a factory option.
It allows you to back up to a garage door, drop the blade and pull the snow forward. Then you back up and run the snow pile through the blower.
This style of blower and rear blade is very popular with people cleaning residential driveways.
My lane is 100 meters long in gravel and I also clean a mile of trails over grass. Much easier on the neck as well.

Wasting time putting a snow blower on a transmission drive PTO tractor like a Super M

You need to be able to have the blower clear when ending a pass, kind of hard unless you raise the blower before you stop, then you will forget and plug it solid.
