Gonna look at a Meteor 60 inch this weekend, $1550 I think. Any comments on there units? Just got the specs off the internet and need to compare them to Lucknow and Puma. Nothing beats a visual though.

I looked at the Lucknow and the JRW side by side today. JRW looks to be heavier duty. For example, they use tubing instead of angle iron for the extensions to 3 pt hitch. The Meteor looked good too but I'd hit all the websites for a comparo on each size because one companys 60in might have a bigger diameter impeller, heavier chain, deeper impeller depth, 4 instead of 3 impellers, weight etc. etc. Good luck.

My search is finally over. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifI picked up my 54" Puma today from Gary's. Last one of that size but I think he did have a larger one left. Unfortunately he'll be closed until the 28th. Now all I have to do is get it mounted to the tractor and ready to go. Thanks for all the help and info.

My dealer has a 67" Meteor. He ordered it last year but it didn't sell so he's motivated to sell. He's offering it at $1399. I'm thinking that's probably a good price, but not if it's not a good machine.

Anybody have any experience with the Meteor? I see lots have looked at it, but has anybody bought it?

Well I settled on a 68 Meteor today. Puma dealers were Above list and not moving a bit. Everything else in this size seemed to be about $1800-$2000. I found a Meteor dealer that would go for $1550 if I did the assembly so I picked it up this afternoon. Thanks for all the help!

I have been hearing that Cleveland and other areas usually affected by lake effect snow will be hit HARD T-Giving Day. 12" to 36".

No one will regret spending money on a snow thrower for their tractor if they get hit like that !

Right now it seems like Utah is a long, long ways from anyplace that has snowblowers. My dealer does have the one Meteor from last year, but I'm a bit concerned about the size. I'm thinking that it's not as wide as my tires will be. I think I'll start another thread regarding snowblower widths.

No need to start a new thread. I think 99.9 percent of people you ask will tell you that your snowblower should at least cover your tracks.
