We worked out Jamestown way just last week... we left NY a week ago and finished up in PA on Sunday morning. Friday AM I had to clean about 4" of snow off the truck. I went back into the hotel just in time to hear the weather guy say "I'm no expert, but I'd say we got about a foot in Jamestown"...
Sure am glad that we finished up when we did, when I packed I intentionally left my snowshoes here.

I would be real worried with the snow loads on peoples roofs with rain in the forecast. That will probably just make it heavier rather than getting significant melting. I spent 8 years in Syracuse, but never saw anything as crazy as this weather. Hope everything works out okay.

Many mobile homes roofs' have caved in already. A lot of places have 9 feet of snow on the ground and by Monday it's going up to 60 with rain. Have to get the air nailer out and build an Ark. I forgot I can't. All the wood is buried under the snow

Guys and Gals watch the snow depth on your roof, the weight can cause cave in.

I ended up just south of it. My wife works in the zone. Haven't been in since Monday. If they lift the driving ban she is to go in tomorrow. Trees down. Wet and heavy plus big drifts. I'm hooked up to my little tractor (5325 deere) so I may get some work in there if I can find a ride with a gooseneck.

Insane amounts of snow. The loader can't pile it higher than 9 or 10 feet. We probably got only 4 feet but 5 miles away my family is closer to 6 feet. Just as bad the ground isn't frozen. I can easily plow up some gravel or blacktop if not careful; worse, anything left on the ground gets wet on the bottom then freezes into ice chunks with 20 degree air temps. I don't know how well a blower would handle this heavy wet stuff but it sure is a lot of work moving it to get the Christmas tree parking cleared. It looks like a moonscape right now.
2 positive notes: It's supposed to get to 50 or 60 in a few days. Hope there's little or no flooding. And
My wife broke the snow shovel while doing a shed roof but finished with another one. Not bad for a 5 foot,120 pound, 66 year old. I married well.
