my '05 Ski-doo Gsx 380 fan's track says DO NOT STUD on it. Anybody know why or if it really means anything? I was going to stud it this year but was curious about this warning before I stud it.

Call your dealer. I have 2 sleds and never needed to stud them but I don't get out on frozen lakes very often.

I've only seen even with a 380 that you could only put 48 picks on it anyway. It's not a hp issue because it doesn't have much to begin with.

Late reply but my .02 says there may be an obstruction under the tunnel. I.e., my old Yamaha liquid Exciter had an oil cooler that hung down slightly, just enough to interfere with the longer pics. The solution if you rode on ice was to install suspension 'blocks' to limit suspension travel, in conjunction with shorter style v-studs instead of the long pics. With the suspension cranked to the stiffest setting, I never bottomed out with that setup and I could lift the front end no problem! Worth checking on...
