snowplow shoes on a rear blade setup??

I welded two pieces of pipe to the back of the blade, then added some shoes. Works great !

I went today to the local guy that sells snowplows and they were getting fifty bucks each for a shoe. forget that.

Will look at TSC pricing or the TSC horse mat idea over the weekend.

I think TSC-- or maybe it was a common mail order place-- was $20 or less.

I built a set of skids for my 5' back blade that bolt to the outer most bolts that hold the cutting edge on the blade.

If anyone is interested I will try to post a picture soon.

If you are worried about it scratching your driveway I would get some poly ski shoes and fab a bracket that uses the cutting edge bolts to attach them.

If you have a welder you can make some fairly easy. This set I built for my box blade in the winter. Or any fab shop should be able to knock a set out for way cheaper than any store can sell em. Fab shops will have this kind of material laying around as mostly scrap to them.

First off. what is the condition of your blacktop driveway ? If it is in good shape dont worry about it, you will not hurt it..
