hey doug welcome to missouri i too am from the KC area and I had a 2210, I didnt like the hitch mechanism for the 3 point, i had p/s issues very costly, my cousin had an 855 so i used it some it was gear and it was ok. I personally like the hydro but dont care for the single teeter pedal on a kubota. There is an LS dealer out east of town but he also handles MAhindra and at the time i was looking no one was in a dealing mood except for deere. I ended up getting a 2038R and while i like it i have had a couple out of the box issues with it. I am thinking just a bad batch of gear box on the MMM and then possibly a bad ujoin or installed improperly so its in the shop at the moment getting repairs.

If you could find a used NH or Case IH their shibaura tractors are good from what i have seen of them, another neighbor has a 40 i think it is or 45 and my boss had a 35 before he sold and left/moved to TN. Both have liked theirs and had good luck with them.

I pondered the MMM for a long time and due to costs i stuck wtih one mower however this year has been a debacle with the rain and soft ground, its been tough to mow all areas with the weight of my 2038R. I couldnt have mowed it with a zero turn either as i have had to push mow some areas and with rubber boots its been so bad with the limestone we have here.

anyway fireaway there are some descent folks on here and we will do our best to help or rib you as needed

I owned a BX2350 for 10 years and I wouldn稚 describe removing a mmm as difficult but awkward. I recently bought a new JD2025r with the auto connect deck that is very easy to take off and on. A lot of people hate mmm but I知 a fan. I wouldn稚 have a rear finish mower unless I had very open ground without a lot of stuff to mow around.

A correct size? The 2 series JD is bigger than. Kubota BX or JD 1 series but both would be a good fit for you.

Yeah I thought about a 2035 or 2025R or whatever the model is, but the price point for Deere is just to high IMO. that plus a couple experiences having to search down help at multiple dealerships...seems like they have an uppity attitude about their tractors and that service is almost beneath them...

That said, the guy I did finally get to help me at the local Deere place was nice enough, but I was already getting a little irritated by that time.

that 20xx size does seem about right though...if one came up around 15k or less I'd take a look. Leaning towards the Kubota for now. Had decent service at the dealership, and where we will be living it is one of the closest dealers.

Thanks Searcy - originally from Joplin, but been in Dallas area last ~15 years. I'm glad several of you TBN members have mentioned problems with the 2210 - it was near the top of my list before, but now I've removed it completely.

the JD 855 was ok...but something just didn't feel right. that sounds dumb, but sometimes gut feel is good for something. I liked the price though!
