I agree with this statement. I have personally owned a Kubota BX22 and now own a B3030. The BX did a great job mowing but was slow at the task due to the 2spd HST. I have alot of hills which required mowing in low all the time for power up the hills and it was very slow going. I would highly recommend at least a B series with a 3spd HST. You can do most tasks in the medium speed including mowing and with enough power to get you there at a decent pace.
But even with a B series mowing can be slow going. Thats why I recently opted to buy a Kubota ZD dedicated mower and it cut my mowing time in half. For the price of a B series with a loader and backhoe and mower you could get a nice Kubota zero turn and also get a BX24 for all the tractor needs. The BX may look small but they are little tanks that can get alot done. Just my 2 cents.
