I use the hand feed most often when I'm gettin unstuck - common practice around here. Need the left foot for the clutch, the right for the Diff Lock, that leaves the middle foot (oops - you don't have one either?) to keep the beast from stalling. To avoid that eventuality I just bump a few RPM in on the hand feed. Of course the right hand is walking the FEL and the left is trying to work the front wheels (4wd) back and forth to get a wiggle going. Nothing like life with East Texas clay and fluidized sand.

I have used the hand throttle for that! It frsutrates me that the diff lock and the foot throttle are not close enough to work with one foot. I thought it was just my tractor that was configured this way. I guess not.
