Bigenning to stew. I think tomorrow will be the day I pop my cork. No call today, so I called them. "How's it looking" ...."Not good" ..."Why?" ...."We changed the valve, and it's still not working right. We'll keep on it today and try to figure it out."...That was at 11 this am, no phone call or tractor in my driveway. I did say to the guy, "Look, this is a tractor that I bought new in October. It has 12 hours on it. How about you guys find a new BH76 at another dealer, swap it out, and then you can take all the time you want to fix it." ...."I don't think Kubota would go for that"........................
Been 2 weeks. I cannot believe that this can be so hard for a dealer to figure out.
A few friends are of the opinion that because this is warranty work, they're not too concerned with the time, and it's getting bumped for paying work, but I would assume that it's like a car dealer, who gets paid by the manufacturer if they do work under warranty, no?
Yup. Tomorrow's gonna be eruption day. Going to stay civil, but I laid out some substantial cash for this machine, and they are not exactly impressing the !^%$! out of me with their know-how.

I understand the frustration. I would stay on them. A good dealer would consider your option of swapping backhoes. They would have to run it through Kubota though. They need to get the factory rep there and involved in the decision process. Two weeks for a problem like this, considering one of them was a short week isn't totally unreasonable yet.
The dealer gets paid by Kubota for the repair work, they will really have to work hard to get paid for the diagnostic time. They cannot unfortunately dedicate all of their time to just your machine. My guess is that at this point they are talking to the field rep that is giving them direction. They try what he says, and then call him back, then they work on other machines while waiting for his next direction, and so on. He is probably calling the engineers and waiting for their direction. It sucks for you not having your machine but odd problems like this can take a little while to work out.
Like I said, keep on them about it, but don't blow-up quite yet. Question them some more on who is involved at this point. See how far up the flag pole they have run it. If the factory isn't involved yet, I would want to know why. See about a loaner or if they will pay for a rental. The low hours on the machine should warrant something from them.
