Split the 380B for clutch r&r. Got flywheel turned for $25 on a Sat morning! Removed ROPS aand canopy, pulled fuel tankand fiberglassed a rust hole. Descaled inside of tank with gallon of rocks then treated with Redkote. Started degreasing her to get ready for new paint.

I bought a new small/garden tractor and mowed 1 acre of rough pasture (brambles and knee high grass). The fun is not knoing what youre gunna find next /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Also mowed 2 acres of lawn with my 36" mower - that took most of the weekend /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Put a 2 prong hay spear on the mighty Satoh Buck to use as forks to move a gate to be hung. The gate is 14' long made of 1 3/4" steel pipe, 4 horizontal and 3 vertical, a little too much for me. Had hinges made of smaller pipe welded to angle iron and lag bolted the bottom hinge to a treated 6x6 that was concreted in last weekend. The tractor held the gate steady so I could slip the gate on the bottom hinge, then drill and lag bolt the top one on. Good feeling to get it done.

Made a crossing over a ditch/creek to access a corner of my land that was cut off by the creek. Took 36" and a 24" diameter culverts set side by side on the bottom. Then graded about 18" of fill over the top for a road bed. Followed by seed and straw cover to prevent erosion. Still need to go back and armor the culvert faces with rip-rap. I need this thing to look like its been there for 50 years.

2-20' long culvert crossings beneath roads. The clay made one of these very difficult since the hoe bucket would pack full of it. Couldn't even knock it out by banging it on a stump.

Cleared a 250 foot long by about 20 foot wide road through the woods in a loop for access improvement. Just piled the debris beside the road in manageable piles.

I don't think we've gotten one drop of rainfall in the last ten days...

Dry...almost summer like temps (feels that way anyway)...no rain in sight for another week if you believe the weatherman...

Is doing a rain dance around the tractor at the end of the day considered tractoring?

I work hard all day and when I come into the house I what do I get?

Darn, you guys make me feel as if I was goofing off.

I chased down a filter and oil for the MF 275 at the farm. I cut grass at the back of the property where the vegetable garden is. Still got to cut the yard this week and get on to a regular schedule. Got the DR walk-behind brush cutter running and ready for this coming week. Did some tidying up around the place. That took care of Saturday.

Sunday, I went over to the farm and changed the oil and filter on the MF275, took the side and hood panels off and checked wiring looking for an explanation for the low oil pressure reading. Still haven't found out why. Gave her a quick check over and lube while I was there and slimed one of the front tires on the ol' JD 820. It started to rain so I took the rest of the afternoon off in order to rest up for the coming week, it's going to be busy.

Felled, limbed and winched out about 10 big spruce and firs for the post and beam shop we are planning. Numerous cedar and small trees came out too. Graded the neighbours driveway with the FEL, and that was about it.

Lit a bonfire containing the stumps and rootballs of about 35 stumps we had removed over the past couple of weeks. Five gallons of diesel fuel and ten gallons of hydraulic fluid were required to even get the thing burning, which is what it is doing today 72 hours later....rootballs do not burn easily.
